McCormick Town Council passes FY23 Budget

(MCCORMICK, SC) – The McCormick Town Council approved their FY23 Budget tonight in time to meet the state required deadline of July 1 for passage of municipal budgets. The FY23 budget reflects a 1% decrease in overall town spending from last year’s FY22 Budget.
The new budget includes a 3% salary raise for employees, an 18.1% increase in the city’s cost for employee health insurance, and a 1% hike in the city’s cost for the employee retirement plan.
The measure passed on a 6-1 roll call vote requested by Councilman Calvin Chiles, who cast the lone dissenting vote. Read the full story in the July 7 edition of the Journal Messenger.
