Devils win, Chiefs and Tigers fall Friday night: next week update

Lincoln-McCormick historic rivalry
In local high school football action Friday night, number one ranked Lincoln county overpowered the McCormick Chiefs by a lopsided score of 56 to nothing in Lincolnton. The devils are now 3-0 and face 0-3 Elbert county next week.
The Chiefs are 0-2 and play the Washington Wilkes tigers next week.
The Tigers fell to Oglethorpe county Friday night 42-12. That leaves them at 0-3 on the season, so next week’s showdown between the Tigers and the Chiefs will leave one of the two with the first victory of the season. Washington travels to McCormick for the game Friday night.
