Road closure scheduled for June 22 in Lincoln County

The Georgia Department of Transportation is scheduled to close U.S. 378/State Route 43 between Old Petersburg Road and State Route 220 in Lincoln County next week.

Officials say a pipe running under 378, near the Lincolnton Water Treatment Plant, will be replaced. The closing is scheduled for June 22 and is expected to last no more than two weeks, depending on weather.

Be prepared to take the detour that will be in place during the closure.
